Most oil spills are not due to drilling but from natural seepage from the sea floor, and studies have shown that oil drilling reduces the pressure on those seeps and results in less oil pollution.

This is all about a natural, non-toxic trace gas that in total makes up only 0.0004 of the atmosphere. And about 97% of that tiny amount comes from natural sources including oceans, forests, and the biosphere that have little or nothing to do with human activity.

We’ve got an overwhelming majority of scientists telling us our planet needs to do this. Are you really going to be the one who bets that the vast majority of them are wrong with something as important as the planet’s future?

A new piece of technology in Iowa.

CO2 absorbs solar radiation only at a specific wavelength (14.77 microns). The first 50 ppm of atmospheric CO2 absorb most of the radiation at this frequency. he next 50 ppm absorb half as much, and so on. At 380 ppm (current level), there are no solar photons left to absorb at this frequency. Tripling the level to 1000 ppm would have no measurable impact on absorption of solar radiation (and, hence, on warming).

The Claim: Letters “[saying] there’s no sign humans have caused climate change” do not get printed.
The Response: When deciding which letters should run among hundreds on such weighty matters as climate change, I must rely on the experts. ~ The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change ~ said it was 95% certain that we fossil-fuel-burning humans are driving global warming. ~ Saying “there’s no sign humans have caused climate change” is not stating an opinion, it’s asserting a factual inaccuracy.
